Colleen Marshall, Chief Operating Officer of Vital Decisions, LLC, has been selected to co-present the educational workshop Adding Motivational Interviewing Techniques To Your Communication Toolkit” at the 2014 AAHPM and HPNA Annual Assembly, March 12-15, 2014 in San Diego, CA. The workshop was selected from over 400 submitted abstract proposals. The Assembly, co-sponsored by the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine and the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association, focuses on providing physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers with knowledge to expand their skills in the field of hospice and palliative care.

These skills are critical to our success in helping individuals decide for themselves what care is best for them”, said Ms. Marshall, “We are excited to present how using Motivational Interviewing can help our clients get the care that is specifically tailored to their priorities and preferences.”
Co-presenting at the conference with Ms. Marshall will be Julie Childers, MD, Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Section of Palliative Care and Medical Ethics at the University of Pittsburgh along with her colleagues, Kathryn Pollak, Ph.D., Michelle Freeman, MD and Lisa Podgurski, MD.
