Stanford Medicine News Features Vital Decisions

A new study identified Vital Decisions’ telehealth advance care planning solution as one of three strategies to improve care for older adults that could save billions of dollars each year in healthcare costs.  Researchers from Stanford’s Clinical Excellence Research Center explored three of the greatest challenges in meeting the needs of older adults — social isolation, functional decline and misaligned care — and spotlighted Vital Decisions as one approach to align care, improve quality of life and lower healthcare spend.  Study findings were recently published in New England Journal of Medicine Catalyst.
