On Sunday, I cried. I read about the death of Stuart Scott, an ESPN anchor, I have watched over the years. I knew he was fighting an illness, and I also understood his life goal while doing so. His famous quote “When you die, that does not mean that you lose to cancer. You beat cancer by how you live, why you live and in the manner in which you live. So live. Live. Fight like hell. And when you get too tired to fight, then lay down and rest and let somebody fight for you. That’s also very, very important…” Working as a (Vital Decisions Specialist) has definitely helped me appreciate the good, bad and indifferent challenges that lie ahead and understand how to appreciate life on a deeper level. I’m allowed to enter a sensitive time, in my client’s lives. Each story, each call is so personal and inspirational.
